The IOC inspectors have assessed our Olympic bid-and the others! They have been to Wimbledon, Wembley, and
few other landmarks. I don't think anyone was playing-not the time of the year-just like most people during the winter
months. They need to come back in July, they will see more action.
London 2012 can handle it, so can: Paris, Moscow, Madrid: New York. One of them will be the only winner, the rest tried
hard. It is a tight race, the inspection team are taking a professional approach to the whole matter, they are experts,
and a couple of Australians who are supposed to have had the " best Olympics ever ". That will be a good model for the
rest. They will give first rate advice. All the hardwork, the athletes put in,and all that monitoring, about
time, they did all this for the different countries. Any of them can adjust and correct easily, once notified.
They are all rich countries; they can handle it. So the effort, may be worth it.
As our county captain said; " It is easy sitting around a table, being all friends, and pally, i have got to decide who
is in, and who is out, i have to make the decision,". I replied: " You gotta make the decision! ". They will have
to do the same, when they have seen everyone. " What is best for the Olympics?". That will have to be decided. Deming
the quality expert, would have gone along with that.
They are all motivated, that is a good sign: " Stay away from people and situations that are not highly motivated, they
will either back out of the deal, when they know they have to deliver, or do a runner,". As mentioned somewhere.
It is not up to Australia, or the ideal model, it is up to the member nations of the IOC to vote. So what is the
point of all this? If they take the recommendations of the panel of experts, then it would be fine. They are the ones,
in the know. Who ever has met the 17 point criteria. As Bertrand Russell the Noble Prize winner commented: " We need
that bit of excellence that competition provides ". No doubt, the standards will be kept up, with all of them.
" We are the famous five..........." It was a catchy tune on TV. They should have used it. It still depends on that
vote, it will get tricky here, you could lose the champion in the group, seen it happen many times. Only one,
out of the five. Which one? What a mystery? Seen it happen in the clubs and counties, ignoring there own game,
and standards. Still many are here today-it works. The politics, are important at this point. They must get
to know the IOC members, this is crucial. We will know in early July, " Cooperation comes before, competition " is known, as
Russell wrote: " Competition needs to be replaced by better cooperation, and communication " Get the noble prize:to win the
Gold.
