Can you believe it? they wanted Tony Blair to go, after they won the election. It happened to Margaret Thatcher,
that she should resign. This once again, punishing performance. Seen it happen in clubs, the guy made a hat trick-the
party, and this is what he gets. I can understand the change, if you are going in to a higher league,
" He did not win, he lost a 100 seats, it is not him, it is the party that matters ". Sam. Your supposed to get
the ball, when you score a hat trick. I would certainly be happy with three aces in a game-if it was an important
one.
Micheal Howard has said he would resign, he did it well, when you lose, that happens. It is not supposed to happen,
when you win. Claims, he is too old- get some plastic surgery......! He could have been in denial: " You can
grow old, i am not growing old, i want to be young again". As a man, told his wife. " Your not really educated,
until you are into your sixties or seventies " As commented. There is a mix up, somewhere. Nobody knows, who the
champion really is. This has got to be a joke, not both, going out-or the thought of it. One says, he is
going to go, the other may have lost support, there would have been a vacuum. The liberal Democrats, could have slipped
in.......! Kennedy was always waiting, now he can hit the ace. When the champion is out, and the conservatives
have resigned, it is natural for third place to come first. Lower, the standards to win.
This can happen at your club as well, instead of rewarding performance, they punish it. We run an excellent tournament
at our club, as described as " Impeccably run ". They wanted to bring in a squash coach, to do the coaching.
The coach not only won the tournament, he organised it, put in a lot of effort, the individual, could have made excuses.
As commented " "How could you win, your own tournament? ", " Your the youngest, you have the highest rating, and you are the
coach ". Some people, are never happy: gone- instead of rewarding, they wanted to get rid of the person. You have
to be careful about it all. Relationships, are more important!
Sport gives my
son his chance to shine
¹It's that time of the year
again-time for schools sports day. Of my three sons, the two oldest are very academic as well as being good at sports.
The youngest has struggled with his school work all through primary school, but has always tried his best. He's now
in his last year at primary school and is seeing most of his classmates going off to selective schools in September, and is
very happy for them. But he's excellent at sport and this is where he's clever and confident. Once again this
year, after winning most of the events at sports day, he is has been told to be ' fair ' and give the others a chance to win.
He has had the number of first-place stickers he's allowed to have rationed to two. During the numerous spelling tests,
maths tests, end-of-term tests and end-of-year tests, has anybody ever been told to give my non-academic son a chance to shine
and come first? Of course not. But during this once-a-year event, when his confidence could be boosted dramatically
and make up for all the other difficulties he has during the rest of the year, he is told to hold back.
