With so many sports, and needs floating around, it is difficult to know which is the best way. They seem to dig
deep; however the numbers have not increased much for participation. That is with all the investment put in. Human Nature
is once again, as shown difficult to change. The NGBs, take a long time to look after; they really need to be spotless. We
have been through it all before. Fitness, Health, funding, community, happiness, success. Also a few difficult areas which
should not be mentioned at all. We do not want a negative attitude to develop. Keep it all positive and happy. You get a better
response from people. There is a new study available, for everyone which will be published shortly. I doubt they will find
anything new about human nature, the Medical field, Academics, and Experts who have written much on this subject, will be
difficult to overtake. It is worth a try, you never know about all this. It is personal, the health issue, we are all so different.
You cannot fit people in a box. As sally said: " I like coming here, they accept you as you are, not expect you to be something
you are not, i am an over weight person, and have a skin condition, they were laughing about me on the bus-kids- they should
shut up, or come up, and find out nicely ".
The sad fact is most peoples, experience of sport has been negative in some way. They did not fit: Make the team; unfairness;
ability; low skills; Negativity; motivation; moving up too soon; moving down, coaching. Dealing with real life
can be tough. It is easier not to play. As Ken versed: " I'm learning from your tricks of beating everyone, i am doing the
same myself; and that is good, because every time i lose to you, i learn something ". Maybe, this report when it is
published will come to new conclusions.

Understanding Participation in Sport and Physical Activity amongst
Children and Adults
Consultant: Charlie Foster, British
Heart Foundation Health Promotion Research Group, University of Oxford
Research The aim of this study is to systematically examine UK published and unpublished qualitative research studies
which have examined children and adults' reasons for participation and non-participation in sport.
The principle method for this study will be a systematic review of qualitative studies.
In addition three other work areas have been identified:
- A descriptive review of recent UK published quantitative surveys on attitudes to sport
and physical activity
- A review of psychological and ecological models of behaviour relevant to physical activity
and sport adoption
- A discussion of relevance of these findings for developing policies for sport and physical
activity promotion.
This review will ultimately inform a programme of qualitative research, commissioned
as a separate contract, which will examine the underlying factors that determine people's attitudes and propensity to take
part in sport and physical activity.
Progress to date: Project complete
Reports The final report will be available shortly

Welcome to our web site!
Happy sports, is the one you want to watch, it has it all, where fun, and enjoyment are
concerned. We do not believe in winning at all costs; however the way to win, and get fit is to make a strong
effort. We will be working with the big four: Football; Rugby; Cricket; and Tennis. Giving you our views, and
pointers that will help them, improve there positions when they play. Many areas will be covered, which reflect sport
and society, not only one, at least a few.
Three of the four have been played properly by our people, only at amateur level. Taking on the professionals would
be a nightmare scenario, that is one area, you will be exposed: " Professionals and Amateurs should not mix ". GCSE Physical
Education. We hope, to keep it apart, as much as possible. So go on, and have a look, you might get fit and happy,
and make some new friends. We all need them sometimes, you really do need them when you lose: except you cannot find
them, normal for rats to jump ship, when it is sinking. Never mind, new ones are around the corner, like this website.
We will also be exploring other sports as well, we want to keep it, all fair and square. You must think of others,
and give them a chance, to put forth, there best effort. It is better, to do this, within your level, it is good
for your mental health. As Tom Peters the Management expert said: " The winners are 1000% better than the rest ". I
am not sure, if he wrote that, or said it. Please forgive me, No one in his or her right mind, would want
to play, someone, that much better, it would knock your confidence. Maybe he was referring to Professional Sports, i
would not be surprised it that exists within levels of some sports, the gap can be wide, even among amateur standards.
