That is what it all about proposals. We have one here. The five cities are hotting up: New York; Paris; London;
Madrid; Moscow. Out, of five adults, you would have thought, they would have known, who the champion, really is.
It is, up to the 115 members, who will vote, it is them and no one else that matters. The General Election, except,
there are not, so many people. You have to hold, a medal for four years, as Labour found out. The Rugby, and Football
world cups, are similar in that way. John Eales is a Paris ambassador, lead the Australian team to victory in the world
cup-kind of strolled it- We have Cathy freeman. Sydney games were described as the " Best ever ", So go for a repeat............!
Having London, Madrid, and Paris so close is a mistake, and wasteful. It reminds me of Deming the quality
expert, mentioning three garages in close proximity. One buys a pick up truck to bring in broken cars. The other
two, now decide to compete, and they also buy two pick up trucks. He suggested, that they get together, and since they
are so close to each other, they buy one and share it, because it would not be used all the time. You see this all written,
all over the bids, duplication on a vast scale. Transport, stadiums, ect, ect. They are all doing it. Each
one has five, millions already spent on them. You could mention that it creates jobs for people, that is true.
And, there is a back up system, if someone drops out. It creates a lot of publicity, and interest, the Olympics, is
big for sport. At one time, no one wanted them, the IOC had to beg, for someone to take them on. So things have
changed, they are trying to take a professional approach. It has been handled that way.
The 115 members are not experts, and if they know about the issues, they will probably know which one it is. We
have made a lot of ground, Paris has stayed ahead. The others have turned up. Anything can happen, i doubt it
this time. I am going for Sydney Super Gold, Paris Gold, London Silver, Madrid Bronze, fourth New York, fifth,
Moscow. It is tight the standards have to be kept up, no one is a failure, they all could have handled it. Priminister
