Running in the wrong lane, too long, it happens in life!
Dwain never
made it, all he found at the bottom of the track was, a judge, one with a wig, who realized that he had been in the wrong
lane, too long. It seems to get any truth, you have to go to court, surely common sense would have prevailed; however
it seems the order of the day. His track lane, overcoming, so many obstacles, needed to be adjusted, he proved it, by
his conduct, that he deserves, a chance at the Olympics.
As ken said:
" The problem with this country, is that they just keep punishing you, it goes on, they never let off, give the man
a chance he has done, his time, he should start a fresh, let him go " he added, " The best of luck to him,
" So many angles, have been covered, all the good clean athletes, who are outstanding, in their field, who do it right,
yet have little recognition, because they are not stars. Look at Michael Johnson, who, gave his medal back because he
thought it was tainted, it affects everyone, we need good models, like him, who have some credibility with the public.
You can't keep looking over your shoulder, all the time, that is no way, to run a race. " He has learned his lesson,
it would have opened the floodgates, if he had gone, others would have tried, he had to lose, many are already there, who
have suspicious backgrounds, he could have gone, as he would have been in the same category, it is a loss to the team. "
as John said. Dwain Chambers keeps moving forward slowly! Please click link!
We would like
to reiterate that many athletes, are hard working, very dedicated, with more talent than all the country, put together, so
they should be rewarded accordingly, not many would want to be, in their shoes, as the standards are too demanding.
You don't break records sitting around drinking tea, all day, or laughing and joking in the pub; moreover we have to start
somewhere.
He has a chance In Germany to comeback!
Dwain did not make it at Castleford, it was a long shot, going in without any experience, except speed, as Tom Peters
and Waterman mention In Seach of Excellence, the rich tapestries of experience; perhaps, it might have been built up slowly:
they did not have time at the club, pinned to the bottom, how low can you go?
One run of his went across the pitch not forward. He would not have lasted long with Alan Sugar, and the Dragons
Den people. They would have pointed it all out, the media were his real friends, the effort must be rewarded.
Where now for Dwain, maybe tennis, or Union, i can see him on the wing, the ball comes out of the scrum, they can get it out
fast, and Dwain has a straight line, he is in the lanes, on the track, in his natural habitat. No one would
catch him, Jason Robinson would do it, and i am convinced that Dwain is faster, than all of them. If a higher level
league - in League - had taken him on, with a lot of protection, it might have worked better. As ken said:
" He thought he could come in, and that would be it, it is a lot more than that. "
He might have the answer? Tried his best, had a new challenge, put his best foot forward, we must encourage,
people to test their skills with people who are better than they are. A fanatic he may be, a " Monomanic with
a mission. " from Passion for Excellence, Peters and Austin. It would be a sad world, if no one
tried something new, in their lives.
In the age of instant success, and bitesize learning, turn up, and you are a hero. It is tough, when,
have kids, bills, a heavy morgtgage, and car payments. It all costs money, a family to feed. We hope
he finds his place, on and off the field. They did come up out over three thousand of them to seem him,
that must be something, to think of, to see a World Class Athlete, " It took me fifty years to
find the job that i loved, and enjoyed, it was great, early mornings, late evenings, it was wonderful, it only lasted three
years, when i had that injury, i loved that work. " as Ken added. It might take time; however, worth it for him in the
long run.
As John said, " Just because you have speed, it does not mean you will succeed in another sport, the answer is there, they
did not take him on, it is so hard to do it. He has been disgraced in his own sport, and must reinvent, himself in another
one, as something new and exciting, there is no way back for him now. "
He has a chance in Germany!
Good luck
to Dwain in his new profession!
Dwain Chambers, changing sports once again, it makes you wonder, how they do this,
so quickly, going into Rugby League, where speed would be an asset; moreover, it is a lot more than that. They play
two lines against each other, it would be difficult to create the space, unless, you have a gap on one side, and have a break
where, he could use his speed. Does he know about the rules, positions, catching, and the rest?. A brave
person he is, to go in. It might be better, to go into, Rugby Union, on the wing, there would be space. The players
at Castleford, would have to cover him, so much, that they would be playing two games, as they are already
at the bottom, people do cover people, this is not unusual, he has that personality that can do it, others, like Sir Clive
Woodward, went from Rugby, to Football and into World Class Athletics, Ian Botham did Cricket, Football, and a Marathon; also
walking the country. JPR williams, Rugby, Tennis, and ended up a Doctor. As a Noble Prize winner, said, when he won,
after the success. " You change fields of course ". Most of us cannot do that. We might not have
the ability.
All these people like Dwain, they don't go into the Amateur league, where it would be safer, they
want the top, normal situation would be laughed at; this is glorified. " The only way to start at the top, is to dig
a hole. " as said. It takes implicit knowledge, to explicit, a minimum
ten years, teachers take a few years until they are truly effective. Some books took over ten years, before they went
out. Dwain defies, the laws of logic, can he do it. Apparently, a lot people with degrees, end up in professions,
that are different, from what they studied. So you train to be a footballer, and end up in Rugby, or Rowing. He has tried, more than most, it might work, reward the effort, not the result, more
people, turn up that way. Shunned by athletics, no second chance, a cruel regime, he could take a cosy job in
UK Athletics, sitting in an office. Cross sports, do exist, it does not help, as the saying goes: " Fools go where Angels
fear to tread. " You have to try, a PHD student is looking for something new, if it is new to you, that may be
enough
