Nadal does well in France-Madrid and Paris 2012- he was incredible, he is so fast around the court, he can play
on hard courts, as well. Grass will be tricky for him; however i will not be surprised if he does well on that surface.
They hit the ball so hard, it is frightening, i have seen our players at the nationals. Even though i like watching
them, they are nothing like the ATP tour players, you really see the difference in quality. Some one, in the top 100,
they move so well, and the skill is a level higher. The way, he ran around the court, he really wanted it, one
of the best, a lot more to come from him.
Justine Henin was outstanding, coming back, after being out, for so long. She is not that tall; however gets around
the court very well. Her backhand is brilliant, she times it, and can hit, to, all parts of the court. She is
also very fast, a true world class player, doing it all on clay is not easy. To be fair, Pierce, has done her country
proud-2012- getting to the final. Did not expect to see her there-do not think, she did either. She has been through
a lot, maybe, it is all to boost there Olympic bid, apparently, there was some promotion about it, Jacques Rogge will be happy,
she won-Henin, as they are both, from Belgium, we have Carl Maes- he might have some influence. Madrid 2012, and Paris
2012, as well as Rogge in the bag. They want to do well, it seems, or maybe a Gold. Just give it all
to Nadal, Pierce, and Henin. We really need Henman to win Wimbledon, to balance the books. London 2012.
We would, like to mention, a happy Christmas, and a great new year, to all who have supported us, over the past year:
to the Sport England, Scotland, Wales, and Ireland. We wish, you all, a great season, for the rest, of the year.
Without your help, we would not, be here in any capacity.
The volunteers, who mostly run the sport, we offer grand tidings, to you all. Without the efforts of these people,
the games would not exist: 2005 is the year of the volunteer. Where people can give there time, without commitment,
or hassle, is paramount, to a better society. As one said: " We are giving our free time, it is a thankless task, we
are volunteers here." Sally commented. Whoever, said the only gifts are under the Chrstmas tree. It is
only once a year, and only lasts a short while. So make the most of the festive season.
Some gifts for 2009: Fitness;
Better Health; Playing harder; fairness.
The tree is up, and the presents, should be distributed shortly, we would also like to thank, the managers, chairman,
and the various committees, that i have had, the pleasure to serve. Our Democracy, is important, to us all.
You will find that, more at this time, of year. I know, this will be difficult, and most people will be enjoying themselves.
Please, spare a thought, for those, who are not, from your class structure: the homeless, poor, unemployed, the sick and the
hurting, mostly in the hospital. Carry on, with the turkey, potatoes, and the drink. Those, who do not, enter
tournaments, as well. Mainly, because they do not like losing.
