We would, like to mention, a happy Christmas, and a great new year, to all who have supported us, over the past year:
to the Sport England, Scotland, Wales, and Ireland. We wish, you all, a great season, for the rest, of the year.
Without your help, we would not, be here in any capacity. Family, husbands and wives, children, the bedrock of any
programme: Thanks!
The volunteers, who mostly run the sport, we offer grand tidings, to you all. Without the efforts of these people,
the games would not exist: volunteer. Where people can give there time, without commitment, or hassle, is paramount,
to a better society. As one said: " We are giving our free time, it is a thankless task, we are volunteers here."
Sally commented. Whoever, said the only gifts are under the Chrstmas tree. It is only once a year, and only lasts
a short while. So make the most of the festive season.
Some gifts for 2009: Fitness;
Better Health; Playing harder; fairness.
The tree is up, and the presents, should be distributed shortly, we would also like to thank, the managers, chairman,
and the various committees, that i have had, the pleasure to serve. Our Democracy, is important, to us all.
You will find that, more at this time, of year. I know, this will be difficult, and most people will be enjoying themselves.
Please, spare a thought, for those, who are not, from your class structure: the homeless, poor, unemployed, the sick and the
hurting, mostly in the hospital. Carry on, with the turkey, potatoes, and the drink. Those, who do not, enter
tournaments, as well. Mainly, because they do not like losing.
A seasons greetings to all, this time of year, is one of merriment and joy. Wishing all
good tidings. The Christmas trees are up, and the flashing lights with Father Christmas are all around, went to a few
parties myself, to get into the spirit of the year. " Everyone is talking about it, " as Dave said, " No one feels it
this year, the chickens come to roost, they are all happy as Larry, just wait in four weeks time, when the bills drop through
the door, then they will know, what it is all about. " Do not want, a dampener on our happy times, as we must
be ready for the new year, it will be difficult, the overeating, and piling on the weight. A new year resolution will
be required, you might as well, have, your will ready.
It is all jolly, for us in Britain at the moment, we have done well in our game, and wish all
our players the best, as commented: " I got a card, it was from forty five to forty three, within it wrote, merry
Christmas and a happy new year. " Good neighbours; " I cannot understand it, on my right and left, i get no response from
them, it is good, bad, cold, hot day, that is it. "; " This side they are as good as gold, on the other, it is a blank sheet:
nothing! " Played many who never got the ball back, and those who defended, in their own half of the pitch, for the
full ninety minutes......" I am a taker, it nice to give something back at Christmas, so i can, put it on my CV. " as Derek,
pointed out.
" I can't pull a Cracker at this time of year, you need someone there with you: how am i going
to do that. " as Henry said. Best to play, both sides of the court.
Enjoy the festive spirt, it is fun, and a good time, thank you once again
Jim Smith
